EPS –EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE

EPS is a expanded polystyrene. It belongs to plastics and has unique properties.

The expanded polystyrene (EPS) was marketed by BASF in 1949. Colloquially known as the Styrofoam. In 2014, European producers of EPS packaging and fittings introduced the new name airpop®.

EPS is 100% recyclable, has the best recycling rate of all plastics.

EPS is a versatile material for use in many industries. Thanks to high strength and excellent shock absorption, and at the same low weight, it is ideal for protecting products during transport.

Additional advantages of foamed polystyrene, such as very good thermal insulation, dimensional stability, low absorbability, biological resistance, determine its wide application in the packaging industry.
